WHAT’S better than learning and laughing together, followed by a feast with those close to your heart? The first Meat Masterclass, in association with SA Pork, was hosted at the Capsicum Culinary Studio in Cape Town, and our readers had an amazing time, to say the least! Enthusiastic home cooks and loyal readers relished in the experience to learn tasty new cooking tricks on the sunny Saturday.
The event kicked off with treats and refreshments, as attendees mingled before the official day started. Pork-lovers, and even those who were a little unsure, got to appreciate the goodness of the cost-effective and versatile meat. Readers were able to ask their burning questions and learnt a thing or two, which will no doubt help when preparing meals at home.
Next, they headed to the cooking studio, where keen cooks tried their hands at creating popular dishes with the help of the expert chef. Sharing laughs, while playing around with different flavours, made for the perfect build-up to a lovely lunch.
The readers got
to enjoy the fruits of their labour while scooping up the deliciousness with an
array of sides and something to appease the sweet tooth. Attendees were beaming
with pride after learning their skills and even got to take their meals home to
share with their families – with an awesome goodie bag in hand. A
truly unforgettable day!
