Since launching in 2016, Poetry’s Dresstination collection has answered women’s need for easy-to-wear, simple dresses and has grown vastly in popularity. As a result, the 2017 range is even bigger and offers a host of styles to meet any dress sense. “We have given great thought to putting together this collection to ensure that there is something for every woman, regardless of her shape or style. There are tunics to slip on and go, wrap dresses to accentuate curves, maxi dresses for floor-skimming coverage and fit-and-flare styles to give form,” says Mari Crause, Poetry’s leisure wear buyer. We want to accompany the Poetry woman on her on her journey. Our styles are for warmer summer days, feeling fun and flirty or modern and minimalist. Each dress has a hint of romance in the way the garment falls, flairs or in the soft fabric and prints we have selected.”
In addition to Poetry’s versatile reversible styles, the collection includes dresses with statement sleeves, bare shoulders and ruffles, as well as lacy cut-outs, pleats and the current must-have print: tropical foliage. Minimalists need not despair – the Dresstination range also offers simple shifts with statement (non-frilly) bows and tunic dresses.
Poetry not only focused on fashionability when building the Dresstination range, but also stayed mindful of functionality to ensure the dresses are wearable and versatile. The dominant fabrics therefore are cool linen, breathable cottons and viscose, as well as rayon that skim and drape, to compliment the all shapes and sizes. The dresses are available in a variety of colours including feminine, soft dusty pink and greens, vibrant yellow and hot coral with colder hues such navy, black and white, complimenting the warmer colours. Customers will fall in love with waistless silhouettes that speak to a sense of freedom and adore the elevated casual styles in linens and lightweight fabrics which that can be dressed up or down – perfect for any occasion.
Dresstination is available in store from 1 September online from middle of September at www.poetrystores.co.za
