Ginger's natural spiciness can help clear congestion. And breathing in ginger can help clear those nasal passages as well. Ginger tea will help to get rid of cold and flu symptoms. Med-lemon, Stoney, Disprin Med-Lemon is a well know mixture that combats flu and colds. Stoney is a ginger beer which has the health benefits of ginger and Disprin contains acetylsalicylic acid, otherwise known as aspirin. Asprin is known for acting as a anti-inflammatory and it relieves colds and flu symptoms. All you do is boil your Stoney then add Med-Lemon and one Disprin allow the mixture to boil for 2-5 minutes, pour in a cup and drink whilst warm to make sure that it works. Vitamin C
A very important vitamin and antioxidant. It's known for fighting colds. Foods that you can eat that contain vitamin c are: Peppers, Citrus Fruits, Guava's, Kiwi's, Tomatoes and dark green leafy vegetables. Cinnamon
Cinnamon contains anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. A honey and cinnamon tea would be ideal for colds
To soothe your chest just rub a bit of VICKS. Or add some VICKS in a small tub of warm water, then inhale and exhale with a towel over your head. This will clear your nasal passages.
