Hosted by Regina Hall, Wanda Sykes and Amy Schumer the 94th Academy Awards ceremony announced its winners at the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles, on Monday, 28 March 2022.

The night’s most-awarded production was the movie Dune, which won a total of six awards, in different categories.

The Academy Awards' winner’s list this year boasts notable firsts as Ariana DeBose becomes the first openly queer woman of colour to win an acting Oscar. It was also the first time the best director award has gone to a woman back-to-back, which is Jane Campion.
