It has been a week of victory for reigning Miss SA, Shudufhadzo Musida, who started the week off by celebrating her Honours graduation just two days after her 25th birthday. And now, she has revealed that she is officially an author!
Making the announcement on her Instagram page, Shudu revealed that the book, titled Shudu finds her magic , would be available at the end of August and tells her story of struggles and hope.
“…I am filled with so much pride and joy to present this book authored by myself with beautiful illustrations by Chantelle and Burgen Thorne. A piece of my heart captured on a page written especially for kids. A story of struggles and hope. Of falling down and getting up and of the incredible journey we call life…,” she captioned a picture of the book’s cover in which a younger version of her can be seen sitting in shame while her peers make fun of her.
According to the Miss SA page, the book will follow Shudu’s journey of when she moved to a new province and was bullied by her new school peers during her childhood.
“She explained that the book is aimed at children aged between 4 and 12 years of age and deals with bullying and the power of friendship,” they wrote on the page.
The book will be available in six languages.
