Hosted by Somizi Mhlongo and Gabisile Tshabalala, Lovey Dovey promises to have some steamy moments as the contestants contend for the big prize money of half-a-million Rands and the wedding of their dreams, all while trying to actually make it to the aisle.

Set on a picturesque and luxurious estate on the banks of the Vaal River, the show sees 15 contestants’ 'mjolo' (relationships) get put to the test as they strategically navigate the dating space, while keeping the goal in mind and seeing which couple ends up saying 'I do'.

Moja Love’s head of channel Bokani Moyo says, “We are truly excited about the premier broadcast of Lovey Dovey from next Saturday. The channel prides itself in the kind of entertaining content that this show will deliver. Viewers must stay glued to their seats to witness the ladies and gentlemen of The Lovey Dovey Mansion as they try to find love amongst each other.

“It is no easy feat as they are all hot and they bring something to the table. One moment they are attracted to this person and the next they are sleeping in someone else’s bed - it’s all a game! Every day is a mystery in The Lovey Dovey Mansion and Moja Love cannot wait for the viewers to enjoy this intriguing show.”

Channel 157 viewers can look forward to rich content, ups and downs, entanglements, break-ups and make-ups, back-stabbing and more, all in the name of love. Viewers can also expect to see participants trying their best to pursue those they’re attracted to, by any means necessary, as they play exciting games and steal some romantic moments.

There will be an elimination show every Sunday evening where a contestant will have to exit The Lovey Dovey Mansion as we get closer to finding out who the winning couple is.

However, viewers are encouraged to watch the show as things get heated from Monday to Thursday nights at 22:30. It is at this time when Moja Love reveals some of the steamiest and naughtiest footage as it brings to light to what happens on what the channel calls Lovey Dovey After Dark, when “the contestants forget that the cameras are rolling”, says channel spokesperson Nonzwakazi Cekete.

This show replaces another household favourite in the reality dating TV space, Mina Nawe House, which also aired on Saturday nights.

Lovey Dovey will premiere on 19 March 2022 at 21h00 on Moja Love (DStv channel 157).
