‘She just collapsed’ – Kuli Roberts’ friends confirm her passing

Media personality, Nomakula ‘Kuli’ Roberts has passed away.

Speaking to TRUELOVE, a distraught friend confirmed the news and said the former Trending SA presenter had been getting ready to do a radio crossover on Wednesday night just before 22:00 but “just collapsed and never woke up”.

“She was okay,” said the friend who asked not to be named.

“She was relaxing with friends at a get-together and she just collapsed and never woke up,” the friend continued to explain to TRUELOVE.

Speaking to Daily Sun, several friends who are close to the celebrated media personality have confirmed that the much-loved star has sadly passed on.

Her family is yet to release a statement regarding her death.

Kuli started her career as a journalist and editor in the early 2000s. She then went on to become a TV presenter for gossip programmes such as The Real Goboza, Headlines and most recently Trending SA.

She also worked as a radio host on Kaya FM and had a stint as an actress on the popular Mzansi Magic soapie, The Queen. She was also the author of fictional book, Siren.

She leaves behind her two children, a grandchild, her mother, father, two sisters, including actress Hlubi Mboya, and a brother.
