The influencer marketing industry has grown tremendously over the past few years in South Africa. While many influencers are thriving and making money through their social media pages, others have unlocked new revenue streams by venturing into entrepreneurship.
One such example is luxury influencer, Kefilwe Mabote - who is popularly known as Kefi boo. She recently revealed that she is now a franchisee for fast-food restaurant Tasty Gallos.
She announced the exciting news on Instagram saying that she cannot wait to grow with the Tasty Gallos family.
“'Girl, you have done it again' - a motto I tell myself every single day! Today, I was at lunch and the exciting news came that I was an Official Franchisee of a @tasty.gallos! I couldn’t be happier at the prospect of owning my own fast food franchise!...,” she wrote.

Mbali Sebapu - who currently has 356 000 followers on Instagram - launched her own beauty and make-up line called Hermosa Flor Cosmetics in 2019. Her line consists of eye shadow palettes, lip products as well as accessories such as make-up bags and brushes.
2. Vongai Mapho
Beauty influencer and YouTuber, Vongai Mapho has started two companies this year: Dream Tresses (a hair company) and Dream Apparel (a clothing line). Vongai currently has just over 81 000 followers on Instagram.
3. Thandi Gama
Thandi Gama - who is a YouTuber as well as a beauty, fashion and lifestyle influencer - started her own eyelash company, Lash me baby SA. She currently has just over 69 000 followers on Instagram.
4. Faith Nketsi
Faith Nketsi - who's currently sitting on 1.7 million followers on Instagram - recently launched a cosmetics line called Fe’ Beauty.
5. Yolenda Jawe
Hair influencer and YouTuber, Yolenda Jawe - popularly known as Yolz - launched her face sheet masks company, Yolz Beauty this year. She currently has over 70 000 followers on Instagram.
