  • She opens up about the challenges of being a mother-of-four and a businesswoman.
  • Unlike some of the ladies on the show, Rushda says she does not entertain drama.

Real Housewives of Cape Town star Rushda Moosajee, who is popularly known as RushTush, recently revealed on the show that she was expecting her fourth child – and since then, she’s been serving her social media followers with bump 'fits.

When TRUELOVE asked how Rushda was navigating her busy life of being a mother, fitness influencer and businesswoman, she said it is challenging even though she makes it look easy.

“Being a mother of four, running a successful global e-commerce business and a fitness app while being a TV personality ... who said I’m managing? Just because I make things look easy doesn’t mean it is,” she laughed.

The 36-year-old also says that because she is a fan of uplifting women, she consciously chose not to engage in drama in this season of the show.

“I love seeing women shine and a big part of my personality is wanting women to win. You won’t find me bashing another [woman] but rather guiding and uplifting her. I’m a good listener and connect with people on a deeper level, even though I hate small talk. Apart from training and trail running, fashion is my escape. I’m a creative at heart,” she says,

She chats to us about joining the show, being drama-free and possibly returning for a second season.

Why did you decide to become a part of the Real Housewives of Cape Town reality show?

I love a challenge and I love taking on projects that teach me more about myself. In my line of work, my vision was always to enrich the lives of women and their families through my mission statement of wellness. The platform is a perfect opportunity to introduce myself globally and whet the appetite for all things RushTush.

Going into the show, what were some of the expectations you had and were those expectations met?

I had zero expectations and went in with an open mind. Do your best, expect nothing and be pleasantly surprised.

What do you think fans will enjoy about you on the show?

Probably my looks and my calm unproblematic energy.

People who know you from social media only know you as a person whose passionate about fitness and being a mother, what other side to you will we get to see of Rushda in this season?

That I’m actually not one for drama at all.

What was the experience of having cameras following you around like for you?

It was very chilled. Work is work and I get the job done.

What would you say was challenging about shooting a reality show?

The hours and delayed production schedules. Also, once the cameras start rolling all of a sudden some women change and deliver who they think people want them to be, instead of just being who they are. Just be real.

Are there any ladies you did not get along with on the show?

No, not really. I can navigate a whole arena of different personalities. It’s part of my job.

Would you say you’ve built a connection with some ladies on the show, if so, who and why do you think you get along?

I thought I did. But watching the show now, I was mistaken.

If given the opportunity, would you return for a second season?

Perhaps. Many factors to consider.
