Ingredients
2 1/2 cups flour
3 T castor sugar
1 tsp salt
7 g instant yeast
1/2 cup luke warm water
1/4 cup luke warm milk
2 T butter, melted
1 large egg
1/4 cup butter
2 T ground cinnamon
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
4 T creamed cheese
Method
1. To make dough: In a large mixing bowl, sift flour. Add sugar, salt and yeast until evenly dispersed.
2. In a jug, mix water, milk and melted butter. Stir into the flour mixture. Add egg and knead dough until it is no longer sticky. Place in a lightly greased bowl and allow to rest for about 30 minutes.
3. Preheat oven to 180°C. Roll out dough into a rectangular shape. Spread softened butter on top, sprinkle sugar and cinnamon all over the dough, tightly roll the dough and cut into about 20 small pieces. Place in a square pan and cover with plastic wrap. Leave to rise for around 15 minutes.
4. Remove plastic and bake in oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden. Remove from oven and top with glaze.
5. For the glaze: Mix sugar, essence, cheese and enough water to create a smooth consistency. Drizzle over the rolls.
