The courses are designed in such a way that students can enrol at any time of the year, which is why there are weekly intakes throughout the year. You could, therefore, start right away at any of the campuses countrywide!
iCOLLEGE was founded in 1997 and offers the following 12-month Seta-accredited courses: HR, IT, marketing, business administration, public administration, end user computing, call centre support and project management.
The iCOLLEGE vision is to help empower South Africa’s youth by changing current socio-economic disadvantages. The college not only offers students courses that are fully paid, but they also get them “job ready” during the programme as all students are employed for the duration of their studies by one of approximately 300 companies sourced by iCOLLEGE to participate in the programme, covering a broad spectrum of sectors and sizes.
The students are employed as full-time skills and training employees, to undergo face-to-face training at one of the iCOLLEGE campuses for the period of their employment. The remuneration is sufficient to cover the tuition at iCOLLEGE for the 12 months, and students therefore graduate without hefty student loans to repay. More than 50 000 previously disadvantaged persons are benefitting from this programme in 2020.
To qualify to study at iCOLLEGE, you need to be a South African citizen with a valid ID, be currently unemployed and aged between 18 and 27 years. You need a minimum qualification of grade 10 and should not be claiming UIF or any other grants.
