TV host and media personality Amina Adbi Rabar is giving away a wedding dress courtesy of the Cape Town-based bridal studio, Robyn Roberts.

Rabar recently joined DStv’s HONEY channel as the host of the popular show, Wawu, That’s My Dress: Kenya. The wedding dress show had its first run in Nigeria with host Dami Oke at the helm, and now it is Rabar’s turn to help Kenyan brides make their dreams a reality. The show has been well received by audiences across the continent, with its driving themes of family, celebration and friendship.

“I love weddings and I love wedding dresses,” Rabar says. “My role on the show is basically as the middleman (or -woman) between the brides and the boutique. I make sure I help them find the dress of their dreams. I really enjoy that part as I love seeing their faces when they find the perfect one.” The host has now teamed up with the Robyn Roberts bridal studio to give viewers the chance to win a wedding dress valued at R25 000.

“This exciting collaboration with HONEY TV is a wonderful opportunity to expose our wedding dress collections to all African countries,” says Robyn, who founded the studio after settling in Cape Town with the simple aim of creating fairy-tales and making dreams come true.
