On Sunday evening, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that the country would be moving to level 3 lockdown regulations. Amongst other things, this means that interprovincial travel is once again allowed in the country.

Speaking to TRUELOVE, Deputy head of Durban Tourism, Winile Mntungwa, says that Durban is the perfect winter destination because of its warmth throughout the year.
"Durban is the warmest place to be all year round. We often say that we've only got two seasons here which are summer and summer," she explains.
"Apart from the weather, the city has a world-class promenade which spans across 8 kilometers and is the largest in Africa. There's a lot of things that people can do here including a number of activities that can be enjoyed by different people," she adds.
Mntungwa lists 5 top activities that should be explored in Durban:
"There's a lot you can do to get your adrenalin pumping from adventure in the city. Firstly, we have the beach front where you can experience the the beach and beach activities including surfing, swimming or horse riding. You can also visit places such as the uShaka Marine World, or even the Moses Mabhida stadium for zip lining and such activities."
"We have a number of shopping malls that offer unique shopping experiences. The Galleria, Pavillion and Gateway malls are a must-visit. For unique items at a fraction of the price, Victoria street is the place to go. The market has over 200 vendors and stall holders."
3. Culture and Heritage
"There are art galleries where you can get more insight and information around the rich history of Durban. Visit kwaMuhle museum and Inanda heritage hood. There's many more options."
"There's different types of fine dining experiences you could enjoy including coastal dining. which can be done at Florida road, the Lighthouse, Views or in Chartwell drive. Then there's township dining as well and restaurants such as Max's Lifestyle, Eyadini lounge, Chesterville and Mojos amongst other establishments."
5. Rural Tourism
"The rural parts of the province actually offer memorable experiences, especially when it comes to game reserves. We have Phinda Game Reserve and Thanda Game Reserve where you can see the big 5 as well as enjoy the scenery or enjoy activities such as quad biking. These places are all just a two hour drive away from Durban."
