“Just so you know, if you drink coffee, you're also consuming cockroaches," he began the viral video which has been viewed over 2 million times.

“Pre-ground coffee, like you get in most stores, contains ground-up cockroaches. A certain percentage of coffee beans become infected with cockroaches and other insects. Usually they can't be processed out completely. So they just get roasted and ground up with the coffee beans," he explained.

“Most food authorities allow a certain percentage of bug parts in our food… If you're allergic to cockroaches, I'd stay away from pre-ground coffee," he joked.

After this chilling revelation, many of his more than 3 million followers took to the comments section to express how they felt about the new info – with most saying that they would stop consuming the hot beverage.

“Okay dude some information you do not need to tell us we are all coffee drinkers how dare you ruin our coffee in the morning,” one viewer wrote.

“Never knew cockroaches tasted good,” another viewer commented.

According to the Huffington Post, the Food and Drug Administration does make allowances for certain amounts of insects or insect fragments in our food and that they're often labelled as "unavoidable defects". They can be found in many other ingredients besides coffee, such as chocolate, peanut butter and even fruits and vegetables.
