White monopoly capital is a boogeyman that has frankly become a ridiculous notion in 2018, only forwarded by parties that still have a racial and class axe to grind.

Many people would be happy to pay taxes if they thought it would contribute to improving the services it is supposed to provide. But being coerced to pay taxes against their own financial best interest make people more likely to exploit any existing loopholes.

When it comes to corruption, the DA is demonstrably more clean than the ANC. At the start of 2018, 80% of Western Cape municipalities, under DA control, registered clean audits.

The problem with general elections is that it makes itself guilty of what economists call the free-rider problem. A person can gain the benefit of something without incurring the costs associated with this.

Expropriating land, forcibly taking someone’s property without fairly compensating them, is theft, even when it is done by the authority of the state.

At the moment, however, the NHI would be a major burden on the state’s revenue, precisely when the state is attempting to fix its debt issue.
