I remember once, a long time ago, in class we were asked how we view time and we were given two options; linear or circular.

I was confronted with a question as to why South Africa is referred to as “The Rainbow Nation”. The enquiry went further; “Are all South Africans happy people?”

It is that time of year again and many South Africans are making their way to the coastal cities. Be safe. Some people out there are not just road rage threats.

Professor Pierre De Vos once argued that the criminalisation of racism would be prone to abuse by rich white people who would use it to sue black people for inane reasons. This is not reason enough to dismiss the notion.

All thanks to the ANC and their brave defence of their corrupt and morally inept president that our own crime fighting institutions have been turned into weapons of spying.

It breaks my heart to know that as I write these words, somewhere in our beautiful land, one of these crimes is being committed against an innocent human being.

Politicians are conniving for positions while the country is being run to the ground.

Today when you go on lunch, take a few seconds to look at people around you. See who is looking at you funny.

Last night I watched a video of Warren Buffet’s Q and A session with high school students at Nebraska in 1999.

I read with great dismay that the government now is devising a plan to expropriate taxes from South Africans working abroad.

There are four things that I live by and three that I hold dear to heart; freedom, respect and people’s rights. I believe that anybody should have the freedom to be who they are.
