About Me:

I'm a community helper/activist in Knysna. I'm an avid blogger, my main platform being my own website, www.LoveKnysna.com

Small towns are suffering more than most of SA during this economic return to reality. Party politics in Plett, Oudtshoorn and my beloved Knysna ensure our ruin. The DA has unfortunately been given a free ride by white fear when, in fact, they have a lot in common with the ANC. I criticise and despise both parties for their corruption and for playing party politics instead of focusing on the locals they are supposed to serve.

Unfortunately, despite all the 'gory' action, the Garden Route has been mostly forsaken by national media bias. I blog in hope that more people start questioning our irresponsible leaders so that they no longer run, unchecked, away from us.

Afrikaans is a dying language.

Today, the Constitutional Court of South Africa ruled that the National Assembly of Parliament had failed its Constitutional obligation to hold President Jacob Zuma (ANC) accountable. For better or worse, the judgement is a legal landmark.

Ramaphosa has the power and that needs to be realised louder than the uselessly negative opinions that have flooded us since his election as ANC president.

There is no space for voters in South African politics if they treat their vote only as an opinion. The practical way forward is for voters to become activists.

Politics is a knife that cuts into the Public every which way it can. Politics is the sociopath, the Public its willing victim. The Public needs to demand better instead of praising sensationalism, gossip and bias over logic and truth.

“My view and the Knysna Fire Department’s view are 180 degrees apart.” That’s the opinion of Dr David Klatzow who was hired by Afriforum to investigate the Great Knysna Fire.

Knysna, the prettiest town in South Africa, will awake this morning to a different world, one of loss and ash on tongues. It is certain that this will be known as the Great Fire or something else of great importance.

The Western Cape and Eastern Cape coasts have been divided between different companies seeking oil and gas. Yet the leadership is silent about this.

The DA is disingenuous and hypocritical but, to give them credit, they’re more clever at it than the ANC.

The drought in Knysna led the Council to approve the request to Eden District to declare Knysna a disaster area.

It's extremely ironic that one of the topics on the agenda of the leaked ANC documents was "leaks in the organisation".
