Blake Lively has worn a power suit for seven days in a row - and it's not by accident

Blake Lively has never played by the rules when it comes to her style, in fact, she makes her own. Just last month the starlet was seen rocking two velvet blazers with no shirt underneath.

The actor who has made it clear that she has no stylist never fails to have iconic fashion moments.

Blake, currently in the middle of a press tour for her upcoming film A Simple Favor, has definitely been channeling her character from the film's sense of style. In the film's trailer, Blake stuns in menswear like it nobody's business and she's been doing the exact same on the red carpets and premieres she has been attending.

Last week Blake wore a total of five suits, in one day. We stan. Take a look at the five gorgeous suits slayed in one day.

All these looks in one day. And then even more on the days that followed. We are not worthy.

While we believe that should solidify her status as a formidable style icon, some are actually taking issue with the fact that Blake is rocking suits only lately.

Instagrammer @fashion_critic_ recently shared an image of Blake wearing a custom light pink three-piece suit from Ralph Lauren Collection. It’s total perfection, but the caption beneath the image read: “It’s suit number 1,356 for Blake Lively’s promotion of A Simple Favor.”

Many immediately questioned what the exact issue here was. Was it being implied that Blake has been wearing too many suits? Which honestly, should not even be a thing.

Blake seemed to be just as confused as us and set the record straight by responding with, “Would you note a man wearing lots of suits during a promo tour? So why can’t a woman? Just sayinnnn. No double standards ladies.” [sic]

The two eventually worked things out with @fashion_critic_ explaining that she was only joking. Blake responded eloquently, saying that she knows not everyone will like her fashion choices, but it’s important not to make fun of women for doing exactly what men do. “Nothing but love...I don’t expect everyone to like it,” Blake said. “Fashion that creates a difference of opinions is the fun part. I totally understand the missed humor. I do the same thing sometimes. Just lookin’ to encourage women to do what men do without being teased for it. Yes, even in a space as material as fashion. It all starts somewhere...and everyone’s voice counts." [sic]

Blake is not the only female celeb known to have rocked suits. Here are three other faves:

Janelle Monáe
