It’s hard to look at any news source without stumbling across an article about police brutality against black people.

The latest incident to spark outrage across the world is the killing of George Floyd. Aljazeera reports that George died after a police officer put his knee on the handcuffed man's neck, pinning him to the pavement for over eight minutes, until he stopped breathing.

In widely circulated videos of the incident the victim can be heard begging the officer to free him, saying, "Please, I can't breathe", "They are going to kill me", "Everything hurts", among other pleas.
