Caroline plays an impressive video about the foundation she's involved with. Ridge argues that Amber cannot stay at Forrester Creations.
Hope has an anxiety attack and sneaks out of the party to take another pill. Brooke talks up Caroline to Rick.
Not realizing she’s quickly becoming addicted, Hope doesn’t understand why she keeps needing the anxiety medicine now that Steffy's gone.
Brooke warns Rick that Amber’s act is a scam. Eric, Brooke and Ridge wonder what Amber’s intentions are with Rick. Stephanie, Taylor and Thorne think Caroline would make a great girl for Thomas.
Ridge and Caroline reminisce about her Aunt Caroline, and Ridge agrees to tell her the story about their love. He presents Caroline with a special gift.
Taylor has a chat with Brooke when she realizes Brooke wants Caroline to be with Rick.
Hope confuses Dr. Barton when she talks about her continued prescription. Caroline and Stephanie talk about Aunt Caroline and the impact she made on everyone’s life. Stephanie suggests Caroline consider dating Thomas. Later, Ridge and Stephanie encourage Thomas to snag Caroline before Rick does. Thomas arrives at Caroline’s pool house to find Rick already there, relaxing poolside with Caroline. An anxious Hope arrives to join in the fun.
Rick and Thomas vie for Caroline’s attentions as they attempt to convince her into accepting Brooke’s job offer. Liam becomes concerned about Hope’s erratic behavior and mood swings. Hope’s physical and emotional state becomes alarming to her family and friends. Amber amps up her pursuit of Rick now that she is aware that she is in competition with Caroline.
Hope’s prescription drug use puts her life in jeopardy, making others question her unusual and dangerous behavior. Steffy and Stephanie share good news with each other. Amber raises Dayzee’s suspicions as she is caught browsing online for prescription medication. Rick captivates Caroline with his charm and flattery, leading to a steamy kiss. Liam begins to question the choices he has made in his relationships.

After Amber convinces Hope to confide in her, Hope spills her guts about the quarrel that she had with Liam. Amber becomes concerned about the pills that she had secretly provided for Hope. Steffy uses Liam’s argument with Hope to her advantage as she provides him comfort. Unable to keep the secret about being in therapy and the prescription she has been taking, Hope confesses it all to Liam.
Steffy divulges to Taylor about the problems in Liam and Hope’s relationship, and how her wish for mending her marriage might come true in the near future. Hope fears that now that Liam knows the truth about her being in therapy and taking pills may change his feelings about her. Amber informs Brooke that Hope may be possibly becoming addicted to prescription medication.
When Amber shows up at Liam’s house looking for Hope, he gives her a stern warning to stay away. Dr. Barton is stunned and confused when Hope reveals that she has been continuing to take her prescription medication. After accepting Pam’s apology, Stephanie offers her job back at Forrester Creations as the receptionist. Not knowing that Stephanie has offered the job to Pam, Brooke offers Donna the same position.
Steffy watches as the paparazzi converge around Hope and harass her as she attempts to enter Forrester Creations. Marcus becomes Hope’s hero. Bill issues warnings to Liam about both Hope and Amber. Liam blasts his dad for meddling where he doesn’t belong. Hope consults with Dr. Barton who issues a command that Hope isn’t sure she can keep. Bill encourages Steffy not to give up on Liam. Amber becomes concerned when she gets frightening information about the pills she’s been secretly giving Hope.
Brooke schedules a photo shoot with Rick and Caroline and is pleased at their obvious chemistry together. Steffy becomes sympathetic towards Hope and surprises Bill with her new found compassion. Having heard Bill’s side of the story, Steffy searches for Liam to get the other side. Amber makes a shocking confession to Hope, and then offers her a fair deal; a steady supply of pills in exchange for what she wants most.
