When you are in your twenties, you get a lot of dating advice, including never considering dating someone who is the same age as you. Apart from the overall confusion of being in your twenties, the dating realm is by far the biggest puzzle. The question is, are we dating because you will be a spouse in our thirties, or are you going to be an ex in the next two years?

Dating someone your age is usually advised against, and registered counsellor and social scientist Chante Spannenberg says: "Traditionally, dating somebody your own age could be viewed as posing challenges such as both partners still trying to find their place in the world e.g., job security, personal development, maturity, etc. So a partner in close age to you may be viewed as not capable of meeting these needs."
