Since lockdown restrictions eased, many people started to reconnect with friends and loved ones they were unable to see for several months.

One would think the upheaval of the last few months would have provided ample time for reflection, resulting in a renewed (or at least reconfigured) sense of humility and care towards each other. However, it would seem that judgement towards plus-size women, as well as those who don't have children or choose not to work, etc, persists - just as it has for centuries past.

Pre-Covid-19, a lot of our daily lives was dedicated to meeting materialistic ends - and I do love a good holiday and designer shoes, particularly the kind with heels that are a centimetre or two too high. But, while we strive for the comforts of existence, internal wellness should also be a priority.
