In a recent podcast interview, Duchess Meghan Markle, revealed that she was told that she was the most trolled person in the world in 2019 - a time when she was particularly vulnerable as she was expecting her first child.

The 39-year-old mom went on to explain that regardless of one's age, if people keep saying things about you that aren't true, it's damaging to your mental and emotional health.  

Usually when the conversation around the adverse effects of social media on one's mental health comes up, it's cordoned off to only include a group of individuals perceived to be inherently insecure or the very same Gen-Z'ers who are the custodians of many a viral social media trend right now.
