Tessica gained popularity when her TikTok video of her seeking help to have heavy duty glue removed from her hair went viral. She had swapped out her normal hair spray for Gorilla Glue Spray Adhesive, thinking she'd be able to wash it out a few hours later.
Unfortunately she wasn't able to remove the glue after over a month, 15 washes, several home remedies and even going to the ER.
If you saw the viral video and are wondering why she put the glue on her hair to begin with, she explains.
“I was in a rush; my fiancé and I were about to leave, and I knew I didn’t want to be dealing with the flyaways. I was spraying Got2b glue, but it was empty because only air came out. So now I find myself looking around the house to find something else. While I was in the kitchen, I notice the Gorilla Glue on top of the refrigerator, so I tell myself that I can use this," she says.

"I was scared even to call my mother. I didn't call her for like a week. Eventually, I called her to tell her that the spray I used wasn't coming off, so we tried and failed; we decided to go to social media for help."
After failed several attempts to remove the glue, it was Dr Michael Obeng who came to the rescue and performed a surgery that allowed Tessica to keep her hair on her for free. TMZ reports that the surgery took 4 hours and cost $12 500 (about R181 000).
Speaking on The Real Daytime show, Tessica shared her joy at finally being able to run her fingers through her hair again after the successful surgery.
She also acknowledged her error and denied rumours that she plans to sue Gorilla Glue for the mishap.
"I sprayed this on my hair, I made a bad decision, it was a big mistake... not once did I call a lawyer," Tessica said.
