Most black women embrace their natural hair, but it's also okay if you choose to relax your afro

In October 2018, it was confirmed that relaxer and hair chemical sales had dropped 20% in South Africa, where the now controversial Clicks also identified that this trend was happening across their other stores in Southern Africa as well.  

This news was celebrated by many in the country as a natural hair movement milestone - one that meant black women were finally reclaiming their identity.
