Social media beauties have taken over our TL once again, this time in the name of the #DMXChallenge that is fast gaining momentum on social media.

With the song renamed to What they really want by U.S. rapper DMX blasting in the background, women on social are posting videos at the many women called out in the song.

Commonly referred to by its title What these b*tches want the original song is as questionable as hip hop lyrics go, but women have flipped the meaning to show off the variety of beauty looks they have pulled off.

Having gained popularity internationally, South Africans have joined in on the beauty challenge showing off the best hairstyle varieties of braids, hijabs, wigs, bald cuts and various afro styles paired with makeup looks ranging from colourful to neutral and everything in between.

These are some of our favourite looks from South African celebrities and social media stars including Mbali Nkosi, Lindiwe Dim and Moozlie, with a sprinkled of some of the best international posts.
