This bride asked a wedding guest to cover up her tattoos and change her light blue hair to a natural colour so she doesn’t 'ruin' the wedding pictures.

Expressing her frustrations, the guest from Melbourne, Australia, posted her text conversation with the bride-to-be on a Facebook group called That’s it, I'm wedding shaming (non ban-happy edition).

The guest is a friend of the groom who was told that her tattoos and the colour of her hair do not match the wedding theme.

The conversation began with, “Hey, so with my wedding, I wanted to ask if you could please make sure your tattoos are covered and could you maybe fix your hair up so it's a natural colour?”

“We've put a lot of work into our theme and I'm sorry but your look clashes with it. Even if you just put some spray or something on your hair for the night. I just want it to all look perfect and I can send you some ideas, nice long sleeve dresses for you to wear or just wear a jacket.”

Appalled by the request, the guest replied, “The wedding is in summer so I'm not sure I could wear a long sleeve dress or jacket. I'm really sensitive to heat so I just don't think I can do that if it's a hot day.”

Offering to make adjustments to fit the theme, the guest continued, “I can look into a spray I guess, I definitely can't dye it because it's been a lot of work to lighten it to this blue and I'm planning to go a bit darker but yeah. I'll look into some options for my hair. I'm not in your wedding party so I just don't think this is fair to ask.”

However, these adjustments weren’t enough for the bride

The guest mentioned that she was involved in a car accident recently and that her finances would not allow to her to purchase make-up for her tattoos.

The bride is aware of the accident, however, she believes the guest’s finances are not her problem and warned her not take up the conversation with her then husband-to-be claiming he fully agrees.

As things stand, the guest tells Daily Mail, she will bring the conversation up when she sees the couple in person in the next few weeks.
