Meghan Markle wore an oversized Ralph Lauren shirt to Wimbledon - what it really means

We have taken a deep dive into Meghan Markle's closet once before, predicting what she might've worn to the royal wedding based on her previous style choices.

And post-royal wedding, we've mostly seen her wear classic, structured dresses, always with some sort of quirky detail like ruffles or a baby cape.

All very elegant, and proper.

But then this outfit happened...

Stepping out at the Wimbledon Women's Final on Saturday along with gal pal and sister-in-law, Duchess of Cambridge a la Kate Middleton, she wore an outfit so perfect for both yachting and watching tennis, white wide-leg trousers, a blue and white button-down shirt, both Ralph Lauren and a Givenchy saddle bag. The Duchess of Sussex had arrived.

Whatever she wears, people want. And that Ralph Lauren shirt has already sold out.

Now, while some thought she resembled a Wimbledon linesman...

The shirt, a bit oversized, showed that Meghan is not going to just do 'conventional pretty' as prescribed by the powers that be. She is going to wear what she wants.

I want to see her in menswear. Including menswear-inspired looks reminiscent of Mediterranean yachting excursions. That's her vibe, I've decided. Do it Meghan. Just do it!
