It dawned on me today that I have not checked my weather app since I've been working from home. I usually check my weather app before bed so that I can iron and lay out a work outfit for the next day.

However, I haven't done that in weeks, not because I laze around in loungewear all day (I actually still put WFH ensembles together every day), but what I wear is no longer informed by the weather - only my mood - because we're barely stepping outside anyway.

Why am I talking about the weather like I'm making awkward small talk by the office kitchen sink?

Because winter fashion is here, and we're officially permitted to shop it under level 4 lockdown regulations. You might be thinking; what's the point if we can't wear these new threads anywhere?

Well, a few creatives, designers, industry authorities, and fashion editors have made a case for dressing up (or down) for your furniture, balcony or driveway on Instagram. And personally, I might just dabble too, regardless of the weather.
