Rihanna joins jury of fashion's prestigious LVMH prize

The design trio will join designers and executives in meeting with the eight finalists for the prestigious accolade, which honours and supports young fashion designers across the world. 

The winner of the prize will be announced in Paris on 5 June.

This year's finalists include South Africa's sustainable fashion and textile designer Sindiso Khumalo, as well as designer Peter Do who recently dressed Céline Dion.

Industry leaders have whittled down 20 semi-finalists to a shortlist of eight who will compete for the 300 000 euros (about R5.4 million) grant and a year of support and mentorship.
