A surefire way to knock off a few years (and kilos)

Many women stick to black because they think it is easier and it makes them look slimmer.  This isn’t actually true.  A really good colour, that suits your complexion, can make you look younger and slimmer.

I am a great believer that women should wear the colours they love.  It's just about learning how to wear them and the quantity in which to wear them in.  It is true that there are certain colours that will look great on you and others that won't.  So how do you determine which is which?

Here is a simple 2-step method:

Step 1: Start with a colour that you know really works for you.  Look at what it does to your complexion, cheeks and under eye.  A colour that works for you will lighten your under eye and brighten your cheeks.

Step 2: Now compare it to a colour you are trying out.  Take the colour that you are not sure of and place the garment close to your face on one side of your body so you can see both colours.  Now look in the mirror.  Compare the two colours to see how your face looks.  Does the colour you are trying out drain you, make you look pale or yellow and is your under eye area darker? If the answer is yes, then it isn't your colour.

If there is a colour you really love and it doesn't look good close to your face, wear on the bottom, in a print or as an accessory that is not close to your face like a pair of shoes or a handbag.
