Too fat to model?

Australian supermodel Gemma Ward announced that she would not be modelling after being a target of criticism by international fashion websites for gaining weight. The 22 year old has done no fashion assignments since Heath Ledger – who she was believed to be dating – passed away last year.

"Gemma hasn't committed to returning modelling at any time soon," a representative from her modelling agency said, adding that Ward had the agency's full support.

Before her hasty departure from the fashion industry, Gemma modelled for big names like Calvin Klein, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, and Louis Vuitton.

What do you think? Is Gemma too fat to model?
