Will Mariah Carey ever stop her diva ways?

This Mother’s Day, while some of our mothers received a good-effort breakfast in bed, the iconic singer/songwriter received a shoe-shaped cake made of gold – she’s basically Cinderella.

We are aware that the cake was a gift from Mariah’s manager, but the gift is the Mariah of baked goods.

According to TMZ the cake takes the form of a size eight platform stiletto heel with a strap in the shape of a butterfly; and costs roughly $1000 (about R12000) . Why so expensive?  Because it’s dusted with real gold. Gold! Yup, she eats gold, real gold. The masterpiece was exclusively made by Kailava, a company known for extreme edible sculptures.

Well I hope she washes the cake down with a glass of champagne with iced diamonds, real diamonds of course.

Would you even be able to eat a cake so elaborate?
