Billie Eilish is 'terrified' about her 18th birthday - here's why

Billie Eilish is "excited" but she has concerns that potential haters could come out of the woodwork and make their feelings known once she isn't a child anymore.

"I am genuinely terrified to turn 18. Even though I looked forward to turning 18 my whole life, I just feel like people are going to be like 'And here is all the hate we feel'," she tells Extra.

"It's okay though - I'm excited to turn 18," she says.

Meanwhile, Billie recently heaped praise on her brother Finneas.

"Finneas is my best friend, my big brother, he's four years older than me and we've been best friends forever," she explains.

Billie has opened up about ongoing mental health struggles in a new public service announcement video. In the clip, which was made for mental health Cease The Awkward in partnership with The Ad Council, the Bury A Friend hitmaker confessed she's still learning to practice good self care.

The 17-year-old went on to assure them to there's no shame in seeking help.

Billie has previously shared her struggles with depression and night terrors and said her battle with mental health has been a life-long challenge.

Billie has had resounding success in her career and was recently was awarded the Global Artist of the Year honour by Apple Music in its inaugural Apple Music Awards.
