The singer revealed that he is often mesmerised when he sees female clothing in the shops and doesn't believe there should be barriers on how people dress.
"Clothes are there to have fun with and experiment with and play with. What's really exciting is all of these lines are just kind of crumbling away," he tells the December issue of Vogue magazine.

"When you take away, 'There's clothes for men and there's clothes for women', once you remove any barriers, obviously you open up the arena in which you can play. I'll go in shops sometimes, and I just find myself looking at the women's clothes thinking they're amazing.
"It's like anything - anytime you're putting barriers up in your own life, you're just limiting yourself. There's so much joy to be had in playing with clothes. I've never really thought too much about what it means - it just becomes this extended part of something," he adds.
The former One Direction singer also revealed that he enjoys wearing flamboyant outfits while performing because it mirrors his music idols such as Prince and David Bowie.

Harry says, "You can never be overdressed. There's no such thing.
"The people I looked up to in music - Prince and David Bowie and Elvis and Freddie Mercury and Elton John - they're such showmen. As a kid it was completely mind-blowing," he tells Vogue.
"Now I'll put something on that feels really flamboyant, and I don't feel crazy wearing it. I think if you get something that you feel amazing in, it's like a superhero outfit."
