Jessica Simpson to regain full ownership of her fashion brand

Jessica Simpson is thrilled to have complete ownership of her namesake brand.  

The Jessica Simpson Footwear Collection was launched in 2005 and proved successful that she quickly moved to clothing, jewellery, and fragrances. 

In 2015, annual sales of the Jessica Simpson Collection reportedly reached $1 Billion (about R14 billion).

In an interview with Footwear Magazine, the star confirms that she was in negotiations with executives to regain full control from executives. According to the magazine, the Simpson's did not disclose the status of the talks. 

"Wow! This is truly a moment of personal redemption and grace," she captions a post on Instagram.

The I Wanna Love You Forever singer and her mother, Tina, previously held a 37.5 percent stake in the company. She hopes they will build a legacy brand to carry on her children and family.

"It means the absolute world to me to be able to take full ownership of my brand. After 16 years in business, I feel ready to meet this next exciting phase with open arms. I know the sky is the limit when my mom and my incredible team and I lock into our customers completely," she tells Footwear News.
