Season two of popular Netflix series Bridgerton is almost upon us.

Aside from the juicy storyline, fans of the show have also been inspired by the visually appeasing fashion and décor.

If you want to live your best Bridgerton life, take a look at these décor tips from Essential Living to help turn your basic bedroom into a beautiful boudoir.

Blue and Gold

Let's start with picking the right colours.

Throughout the series, "we notice refined blues used in the glorious floral embellished empire dresses of the Bridgertons and other ladies of the court - these are also incorporated in their beautiful boudoir bedrooms," the Essential Living design team explains.

Incorporate these colours into your room to give it that 19th century feel.

Four-poster bed

A bed with four posts is essential for this era and makes the ultimate statement of royalty and class.

Add a rich jewel-toned velvet bedspread to complete that luxurious theme, along with soft cushions on the bed.

"A mixture of pastel blue and gold suggests royalty, spirituality, and magic - all aspects that enhance a luxurious setting."
