Are you being pocketed?
Are you being pocketed?

When a relationship is going well with less hiccups, a few months should be enough until you eventually meet the family of your significant other. However, it may take a little longer for other people to introduce their partner to family and friends. This may be because they want to make sure that their partner is ready and well prepared before meeting their loved ones.

But what happens when your partner hides you in plain sight? Not introducing you to their family or let alone their friends? This is called "pocketing". According to The Relationship Architect, Shelley Lewin, "pocketing is a buzz word for 'we are not at the same place in this relationship'".

"One is further along in their attachment and/or commitment to the other and is not ready to introduce their partner to their inner circle," she says.
