Steak voted the best food to get couples in the mood for sex

In a new poll, steak has been voted as the most popular food to get people in the mood for sex.A new poll surveyed the food that turns on Brits and found that a quarter of people are left feeling frisky after tucking into a t-bone steak. 

The meat came out top over chocolate and oysters in the poll by recipe box service Green Chef.

The survey also revealed that one in ten like a McDonalds to get their juices flowing, while pizza and pasta also featured in the top ten.

According to Healthline, honey, is known to enhance sexual appetite with one variety called “mad honey” even being marketed as a sexual stimulant, while capsaicin (a compound that gives hot chilies their spiciness) stimulates nerve endings on the tongue, causing the release of sex-drive-boosting chemicals. However, there’s very little scientific evidence to support these claims.

Green Leaf explained that the results show that one in five people lack the skill in the kitchen to get temperatures rising in the bedroom. The company has unveiled some recipes to help couples get sex on the menu, with suggestions including truffle-dusted steak with asparagus and baby roast potatoes.
