  • While there probably won’t be as many festive parties as we’re used to, I can’t help but distract myself with outfit plans, prospective makeup looks and browsing for hairstyle ideas. 
  • Here I have put together 10 easy, yet stylish looks and accessory tips to unleash all your pent-up creativity this festive, even if Instagram is the only place that we see it.

This time last year, the platinum blonde look was all the rage – albeit it was approaching its end in popularity. What has been dubbed as Rapunzel braids were also all in, and still seemed to be a favourite.

Middle part slick back

For a classic and put-together style, look no further than the sleek back as showcased by The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. This time, try a middle part for a more timely feel.

Natural bow out 

The textured natural blow out look has gained much popularity of late. The look is famously seen on Solange, Zendaya, Beyoncé and Kerry Washington, among other stars. P.S. if you’re avoiding heat, this look can also be achieved with a braid out – thank me later.

Red Rapunzel braids

Lizzo and Zendaya make a strong case for this style. If you’re looking to add a little something extra to your classic braiding style, add some red. 

High half pony 

Another classic hairstyle to try is the half pony. Wearing it higher up while concealing the hair tie creates a more elevated look. Alternatively, you can add a statement scrunchie or tie with a bright scarf.
