Big hair, bright eyes and faux hawks dominate Paris Fashion Week runways

Kaia Gerber stole the Valentino runway at Paris Fashion Week recently with a very, very OTT hairdo.

Will it cement the comeback of big hair? Or was this 'do way too theatrical to be worn in such a manner in real life? Only time will tell.

But big hair was not just a theme at Valentino, we also saw exaggerated hair at Fendi, with the sixties beehive making its return, along with graphic eyes drawn on with black liquid eyeliner. So bold.

But black eyeliner was not the only colour that was trending on the walks. Valentino gave us life with eye-popping metallics which decorated models' eyes as the rest of the face was left bare.

Shop an eyeliner in your budget:

Revlon ColorStay Skinny Liquid Liner, R200.75.

Lancôme Artliner 24HR Liquid Liner, R373.26.

Sisley So Intense Eyeliner, R820 at Red Square.

Faux hawks also made a reemergence on the runway at Chanel.

While crimped hair and soft pink eye shadow was the subtle beauty look chosen by Christophe Josse.

I was also completely, utterly mad about the Alexandre Vauthier 80s vibe, complete with single statement earring, hat and low ponytail.
