Nilanshi beat her own record of 170.5 centimeters set in December 2018 with a new length of 190 centimeters.

Nilanshi Patel stopped getting her hair cut more than a decade ago, following a hair-raising ordeal at a salon.

"My mom always helps me with growing my hair, and she never feels any difficulty in doing that [sic]," says Nilanshi. "And in fact, it was her dream that I get a Guinness World Record, and also my father always helps me and always supports me for growing my hair."

Nilanshi has to wear high-heeled shoes if she doesn't want her hair to touch the ground. Apart from that, she says she cares for her hair like every other teenager.
