We all know that your looks can affect how you feel and as much as we should embrace our imperfections, there’s no denying that you instantly feel complete when your skin is flawless. Yet the fact is not everyone has great skin, many people suffer from skin disorders and acne is by far the most common.

Because of the perceptions and judgements about undesirable skin conditions people often get embarrassed and cover it up with heavy make-up. This can cause even more damage.

Beauty vlogger, Katie Snooks, has suffered from acne for over 10 years and she finally decided to try out Roaccutane (a well-known oral acne medication).

She recorded her first month on the medication in the hopes of helping other people suffering from the skin disorder to realise that it can be treated. The video shows us the painful side effects of the treatment, her experience and how she progressed on a daily basis and has since received over 68 000 views on YouTube.
