  • The Adidas x Rich Mnisi collection was inspired by the designer's Tsonga origins and the spirit of pride.
  • The collection features 12 key looks comprising of performance-wear that supports a range of sports,  streetwear silhouettes and iconic footwear styles reimagined with bold print accents. 
  • The collection ranges from R379- R3 599. It will be available from 25 February 2022.


All eyes are on the striking Adidas x Rich Mnisi collection inspired by the designer's Tsonga culture. 

It is not difficult to spot a Rich Mnisi creation, even off the runway where he is acclaimed.

The clashing, bright animal prints, and abstract patterns give it away.

His first-ever collection with Adidas features 12 key looks comprising performance-wear that supports a range of sports, alongside streetwear silhouettes and iconic footwear styles reimagined with bold print accents.

“I am immensely proud to present this collection in collaboration with Adidas, an iconic brand that I grew up seeing on people of colour that were rewriting the arts," says Rich.

"It has been a pleasure to bring my designs to classic pieces. We have created a bright, unique collection that reflects my love for the idea of community and heritage, individuality, and self-expression. Our aim was to create pieces that supports life on and off the sports field."

He says the spirit of this collection celebrates our homeland, so environment was an important aspect when looking at methods and materials used in the creation process. "I am so pleased we’ve used adidas’ advanced technology and partly recycled materials. I am truly excited for the world to see this collaboration come to life,” Rich says.

Here are some of the prices for the Adidas x Rich Mnisi collection: swimsuit priced at R1 199, the headscarf priced at R849, tights priced at R749 and UB22 at R3 599. 

The collection ranges from R379- R3 599. It will be available from 25 February 2022 at adidas.co.za and Adidas Originals and Performance stores.
