Are these perhaps the most underrated items in your underwear drawer?

We've dabbled in socks appliqued with pearls (it's just awkward), glitter socks (love them still and fo life!) and secret socks (perhaps the most appreciated thin layer of fabric, ever).

But the humble, sporty tube sock known to usually carry a few colourful stripes is now the gateway to cool as celebs like Gigi Hadid and Jasmine Saunders slip their R2000 pedicured feet (I would assume, pedis are over $100 at this NYC hotspot) into a R70 pair of white tube socks.

And they go with anything. Especially in a time when fashion rules are more flexible and open to interpretation than ever.

They can be worn every which way - from pairing these classic white socks with anything from 'ugly' dad sneakers to heels.

I love them with a skirt and an oversized jumper, blazer even. But it's all up to you how you style this sporty chic look.

Kaia and Bella wear them with combat boots, while they've been spotted on Ansolet Rossouw on the runway at Miu Miu and, of course, street style personalities have been spotted at fashion weeks owning this trend.
