- 2020 has kept us indoors for most of its duration, even putting fashion shows on a hiatus as early as March.
- The fashion industry has since innovated its showcase model, but the traditional runway is making a gradual comeback in various parts of the world, and the world is shopping again.
- We've caught sight of Spring/Summer 2020 that might be big as we enter an eased lockdown in our warmer seasons - because now we can at least look cute in a transitional outfit to go grab coffee.
Remember when we predicted that 2020 could be the year of controversial fashion trends? Well, it turns out that the trends have been mostly harmless, and the controversy around 2020 has actually been about... everything else.
In this article, it was also said that; "gone are the days of brazenly churning out 'shopping advice' to fashion audiences on a weekly or even monthly basis - the economy is bad, and personally, I no longer feel compelled to feed the capitalist machine. Besides, slow fashion is better for the environment anyway."
"Now, trend forecasts are no longer received as sartorial dogma, but rather as references and inspiration," I added.
So with that said and reiterated, let's get some much-needed Spring/Summer 2020 inspo - trend by trend - from runways and streets around the world:
Stripes, paisley, tie-dye and of course... florals continue to be "groundbreaking" every spring.
Who's hue in the zoo?
Head-to-toe lilac and green looks will soon take over the concrete jungle.

Home is where the heart is
... but outside is where the mind is, am I right?
Cottagecore is the wholesome social media trend most likely popularised now by all our time at home this year. Dressing like you bake sourdough bread for Sunday picnics is en vogue right now.
Power, but no puff
While office wear took a backseat this year, blazers seem to be taking center stage for street style ensembles.
