An Italian fashion designer, Sabrina Persechino, has innovated a trench coat, that has a visor, intended to protect the wearer from contracting coronavirus. The visor is a separate attachment, so the coat can be used in normal circumstances.

“Our goal is to erase social distancing. The clear visor – to allow for reading of lips - has two filters, meaning [you will] be able to not wear a mask,” the designer explains.

The waterproof coat has a filtering fabric against viral agents, and it is suitable for everyday use. Sabrina also highlights that people will be able to use the coat - named The Hut – in non-Covid circumstances in the future, where it can be worn like any other trench coat.
