Gone are the days when one's outfit just, worked. 

Those who we see as dressing the best, are usually the ones who take risks. Pairing unlikely items, prints and styles. Even eras.

I am smitten with the futuristic farmgirl thing happening both online and on the streets. Think metallics meet comfort and billowy dresses with added edge.

Make up can also go very dewy, adding some creamy metallic eyeshadow for a bit of pop.

But the Little House on the Prairie style of dressing is not limited to wearing crisp, white linen. Yoh. Not everyone has the talents to keep their whites, white.

My favourite would be these dad sneakers, Air Max 95 SE Premium, NIKE, R2499.

Or shop these budget dupes; and pair your them with this tie top, R450, Musea and a pair of jeans or floaty skirt. Maybe a blazer or cardigan for now. 

You can also add harder edges, like belts and eyewear to toughen up this whimsical Prairie-chic look. 

Or add some cowboy or metallic boots to oversized dresses for a fun innovative look and feel.
