When plastic surgeon Greg* was separating from his wife, Anna*, he likened it to the movie The War of the Roses in which Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner are embroiled in such a bitter divorce battle that she drives her monster truck over his classic sports car and serves him a pate she says was made from his beloved pet dog. It wasn't.

Greg's divorce wasn't that bad, but his wife nonetheless made a gallant effort to make his life miserable. Both were advised to stay in the marital home until the assets could be divided, during which time she put a padlock on the fridge and called the police when he pilfered a slice of her camembert.
