Cape Town - The 2016 Formula 1 season is nearing its halfway point (the Hungarian GP) and the first ten races of the season produced numerous talking points.

F1 guru Egmont Sippel reflects on each race and shares his best and worst moments throughout the season.

The season so far brought forth numerous talking points, but the fierce rivalry between Mercedes' feuding drivers continues to dominate conversations.

From Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg's infamous clashes to 18-year-old Max Verstappen becoming F1's youngest race winner, here's a recap of the year's first ten races.

Round 10: British GP wrap - 'Hammer time and the Lauda factor'

Round 9: Austrian GP - Nico nixed

Round 8: European GP, Baku - Radio comms saying nothing

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg led from start to finish and won the 2016 European Grand Prix on the Baku street circuit, extending his lead in the Formula 1 championship from nine points to 24.

Round 5: Spanish GP - Nico and Niki get it wrong

Max Verstappen, competing in his debut race for Red Bull, became the youngest F1 winner yet following a thrilling 2016 Spanish GP. The Mercedes duo crashed out during the first lap.

Round 4: Russian GP - The Russian strikes again

Nico Rosberg rattled off his fourth straight win of the season at the Russian Grand Prix in Sochi with his Mercedes team mate Lewis Hamilton taking second.
